Sintering (SLS) combined with high
speed (35,000rpm) Computer
Numerically Controlled (CNC)
Machining.
Laser sintering is done in stages and
can be followed by CNC machining
before additional stages of sintering
occur. This enables us to provide
extremely complex shapes with high
quality machined finish within one
machine.
The most obvious benefit is the ability
to form a deep rib and apply a
machined finish as the insert is being
created. No thin long cutters (and slow
machining times) required.
The possibilities are virtually endless.
Due to the limited machine capacity
available we are only able to support
complete design/analysis and tool
manufacturing projects at this time.
